Button back dining chairs — deep diamond tufting worked across the whole back panel — are the most traditional upholstery detail we make, and the one that gives a dining room its formality. Each button is pulled through and tied off rather than glued on, which is why the tufting holds its shape after years of people leaning back on it.

These are our wide, low-backed chairs: comfortable to sit at for a long meal, easy to live with under a low ceiling, and finished with a polished lion-head ring knocker set into the centre of the back. They are supplied as part of a complete set with a marble table, in fours, sixes, eights or tens, or four chairs with a matching bench.

Velvet colours

Dense close-pile velvet over a sprung seat, in black, dark grey, mink or pink, on a chrome or gold frame. If you want height and a rolled scroll top instead, see the high back chairs.

Every set here is sold on cash on delivery. Nothing is taken when you order. Our own crew brings the set to your door, unwraps it at the van so you can look it over properly, and you pay and take a written invoice before anything comes inside. Once you are happy you pay the crew, they give you a written invoice, and then they carry everything in and assemble your table.

What if I am not happy when it arrives?

Then you do not pay and you do not keep it. Because you inspect the set at the van before any money changes hands, you are never left arguing over a refund for something already in your house. If it is not right, our crew takes it away and you have paid nothing.
Do I get a receipt or invoice?

Yes. Our crew hands you a written invoice at the point you pay, showing the set, the price and the date. Keep it safe — it is your proof of purchase.
Can I have the quality checked by someone else?

Please do. Bring your own fitter, a furniture restorer, a tradesperson or a friend who knows their materials, and have them inspect the set at the van before you pay. Is table assembly really free?

Yes. Once the set is paid for, our delivery team assembles your marble table in the room you want it at no extra cost, and takes all the packaging away with them. There is nothing for you to build and nothing to dispose of.
Where do you deliver, and how long does it take?

We deliver free across mainland UK using our own two-person crews rather than a parcel courier. We will confirm your delivery window when we call to book your slot.
Can I mix a table design with different chairs?

You can. Pick the table shape you like, then choose any chair design to go with it. Because we hold the largest range in the country, almost every combination is available.
How do I look after a marble top?

Wipe spills quickly with a soft damp cloth, use mats under hot pans, and avoid acidic cleaners such as vinegar or lemon. Treated properly, a marble top outlasts the room around it.
